Lorifactor (belts, scabbards, armour)

Lorifactor is a polish craftsman who offers a wide range of very high quality products for historical reenactments. His wares include mostly accessories such as belts, scabbards, but also various elements of armour. We can see a variety of historical helmets and also shields and pavises.

In his collaboration with the Gallois de Fougières project, Lorifactor mostly made and supplied the items that required an exceptional quality of make because they reflect the noble status as well as the wealth of Gallois de Fougières and his companion in arms, Jehan de Quesnes.

Lorifactor's sword belts are based on iconography and existing examples of fittings from belts and scabbards. All his available belts that aren't already attached to scabbards have ready-to-assemble mounting rings to be soldered closed after fixing them to the scabbard fittings. He can do this service for his customers, in which case the concerned scabbard must be sent to him.
His scabbards are made of leather. The inside is made of several layers of leather sewn together, hardened, and shaped to resemble a wooden scabbard. The outermost layer is thin leather sewn on the backside of the scabbard. Leather scabbards are more durable than real wooden ones as they are more elastic so they don't break when hit or after a fall in a fight.

Jehan de Quesnes's nobility girdle and scabbard.

He also created various other pieces of equipment for the soldiers of the provost guard, in order to make it as completely equipped as possible and also as historically accurate as possible.
