Couteaux d'Hier et d'Aujourd'hui (knives, daggers and polearms)

Yann Petit of Couteaux d'Hier et d'Aujourd'hui (Knives of Yesterday and Today) is a French craftsman who both crafts and sales knives, but also daggers and a variety of polearms. Besides his specialisation in cutlery, he also crafts copies of archeological items from museums but also copies of illuminated manuscripts. He is also an animator in historical smithing at the medieval encampments.

In his collaboration with the Gallois de Fougières project, Yann Petit offered good quality equipment and particularly fast service. He participated mostly in the crafting of pole weapons and daggers that will be worn by the team of volunteers qui will fight at the side of Gallois de Fougières and Jehan de Quesnes. These men will be dressed and armed like soldiers drafter from among the commonfolk and will serve their lords. But he also created historical knives that nobles and commons alike used to use to eat. After all, historical reenactment isn't limited to the fighting.
